Public hearings on EIA of Moscow - Kazan HSR were held in Balashikha

On April 12, scheduled public hearings on the discussion of the materials of evaluation of environmental impact of the Moscow — Kazan segment of the Moscow — Kazan — Yekaterinburg high-speed rail line (HSR-2) were held. The hearings were conducted by Head of the environment and nature management directorate of the Administration of Balashikha Urban District Albert Victorovich Goryachev. The hearings were attended by head of the nature management division of the environment and nature management directorate of the Administration of Balashikha Urban District Marina Igorevna Kudryavkina and deputy head of the environment and nature management directorate, head of the environmental protection department of the environment and nature management  directorate of the Administration of Balashikha Urban District Alla Petrovna Makarova. Twenty-one people were registered to attend the hearings. Maksim Normov, head of the environmental design administration of JSC NIPII ET ENERGOTRANSPROJECT, and Dmitry Torgashin, head of the technical division of the Technical Administration of the Technical Department of JSC “High-Speed Rail Lines” delivered reports to the audience. In his speech, Dmitry Torgashin noted that the total length of the route in Moscow Region will be 85 km.  The rail line will have two stops — Noghinsk and Orekhovo-Zuyevo. Maksim Normov spoke about technical solutions that will significantly reduce negative impact of the line both during its construction and operation. After their reports, the residents could ask questions that concerned them and offer their suggestions regarding the route of the rail line. Due to the peculiarities of the rail line in this region, the majority of questions involved noise shields and availability of crossings through the rail line.
